Start with the finish, not the colour
Finish decides how a shade reads on the eye far more than the colour name does. Matte shades add depth and are what you use in the crease to create shape. Shimmer catches light and makes the lid look fuller — best on the centre of the lid and the inner corner. Glitter is a topper, not a base.

Making shadow last
The eyelid produces oil, and shadow applied to a bare lid will crease — usually within a few hours. A primer or a thin layer of concealer set with powder gives the shadow something to grip.

Brows frame everything

Eye makeup is the most common cause of lash damage, and it is almost always the removal, not the product. Never rub. Press a cleansing oil or micellar water onto closed lids, hold ten seconds to dissolve, then wipe gently in one direction. Glitter and waterproof formulas especially need dissolving time.
